Dealer and Artist Registration for Anime St. George 2012 is now open!

Last year we sold out our dealer//artist spaces before July which was a new record! We even had people fighting and begging for what little space we could possibly offer them and because of this, we even put a few people out in the lobby. This year is expected to be just as busy so we are going to bring  back our Lobby Booths because of popular demand!

If you are interested in registering for a Dealer or Artist booth for Anime SG 2012, then get them while you can!

Booth Info:
A 10′x10′ Booth will include 1 Table, 2 Chairs and Table Covering.
A 10′x20′ Booth will include 2 Tables and 2 Additional Chairs (If desired) and Table Coverings.
An 8′x8′ Lobby Exclusive Booth is Located In The Convention Lobby and will include 1 Table, 2 Chairs and Table Covering.
All Booths Include: 2 Convention Passes, Temporary Utah Sales Tax License, Anime St. George Exhibitor Packet.

91.8 The Fan is a live internet radio station that strives to bring contemporary style radio to anime and manga fans and features the latest music from Japan, Korea and China. Far from being just an automated playlist, 91.8 The Fan also features interviews with icons of the fandom genre as well as contests and reviews. Last year was a bit of a strange year for everyone. However, there was quite a few good memories shared between folks at our conventions. In memory of the old and in honor of the new, I have made a video highlighting all of the fun times shared last year at both Anime SG and Anime Bonanza. You can find his awesome video below.

~ The Blog ~
I am sure you have noticed by now that the Anime SG blog has been given a complete make over. We are now sporting a new theme in gray and lime green with our familiar “Falco Ink Splat” background in darker hues. Also, this new theme is very social network friendly so links to our RSS Feeds, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube are all linked for you at the top as well as Twitter and Facebook streaming live on the side panel.

In addition to the new look, all information regarding the convention have been fully updated and new pages have been created to cover everything from event information to hotel booking. While you may not be able to do things such as pre-register or register for a dealer’s booth here on the blog, most of the information here is reflected from the main website. I also plan on keeping it more up-to-date from now on.

For those who are looking for the Cosplay Resources Page, you can now find it under Programming – Masquerade -  Cosplay Resources. The links should have updated themselves so most people will not have a hard time finding it even though they would have the old URL.

~ The Website ~
All information regarding Anime St. George 2012 is now loaded up on the website. The only thing I have yet to change is the Browser Header but I will get to that shortly.  Some more specific changes are:

• Link to Okami Promotions Youtube Channel Added on Splash // Homepage.
• Exhibitors link changed back to Dealers.
• Only Masquerade Registration will reopen for this convention year on July 1st, 2012.
• New information added in Hotel Booking for those traveling from afar.

I still see a few things that need changing but they are mostly little cosmetic things that have a tendency to bother the hell out of me now that I just noticed them. Chances are most people won’t event see them but I do….0_o

The Abbey Inn has been the home of Anime SG since the convention’s start back in fall of 2009, and the event’s organizers, Okami Promotions, are excited to be holding the event at the familiar location.

“We are happy to be returning to the Best Western Abbey Inn.” tells Lisa Monroe, Marketing Director and Head of Public Relations for Okami Promotions.  “It is the perfect venue for us and our attendees like the location. We look forward to bringing a whole new pallet of flavors to the table for this year’s events.”

Joining Anime St. George in Okami Promotions’s event lineup is OkamiCon; a multi-genre convention focusing on anime, comics, gaming and other pop-culture fandom. OkamiCon 2012 will be taking place May 19th, 2012, at the CasaBlanca Resort and Casino in Mesquite, Nevada.

“One event simply is not enough for me.” Monroe continues. “OkamiCon is something that I have been planning for a while now and have finally made into a reality. Anime St. George 2012 will be once again at the Best Western Abbey Inn and well be held on September 29th, 2012! Keeping in with the tradition of our past two years, we are once again on the last Saturday of September. Easy to remember no?

Like I said before, the website won’t be updated right until the press release is sent out. After that, you will be able to find our listing on AnimeCons.com, Okami Promotions website, and where ever else we happen to end up. Also, for those of you who need a little anime action until Anime SG 2012, please also come to our second convention OkamiCon 2012 which will be held May 19th, 2012 in Mesquite, NV at the Casablanca Resort. It will be a mix of both Anime, Comics and Gaming so even if you are not a solid anime fan, if you are a fan of all the others, I am sure you will have a good time. Pre-Registration for OkamiCon is open now as well as Registration for Dealer and Artist Booths.

My computer is now repaired and things are going to start hopping as we wrap up the month of October and start moving closer to the Holidays. A lot more updates for OkamiCon are going to start coming sooner and closer together. Pre-Registration will be opening tomorrow and even though, we don’t have much updated as far as events and programing go, that will all be changing.

Online Masquerade Registration
One particular thing I would like to touch note on (I can’t remember if I have already or not), is that we will be bringing back Online Masquerade Registration for both OkamiCon and Anime SG 2012. Many more people seem to actively participate in the Masquerade after they have already registered then they do simply coming to the convention and signing up. Everything will be done from an online form which you can fill out and it will be emailed to us. All you have to do then is check in at the Masquerade Desk on the day of the event and you are good to go!

Please expect Masquerade Registration to be open around February. An official announcement will be made at that time.

Screening Suggestions
While I will not be submitting the requests for screening permissions until January, I would love to here your suggestions on what FUNimation Entertainment programing we should be showing in our screening room. Tell us and you just might see it there!

OkamiCon Cover Art Contest
One of the features we will be launching this year for OkamiCon is a Cover Art Contest which will start in January. This contest will be for armature and professional artists alike. You all be encouraged to submit your own artistic interpretation and rendition of the OkamiCon Wolf and Moon Logo. One lucky entry will then be chosen to be printed as the OkamiCon 2012 Program Cover Art. This is a wonderful opportunity to get your artistic name out there! Not to mention it will look good in your portfolio.
